Since it was founded in 1999, Senacor has developed into one of the leading IT service providers for IT transformation in the German-speaking market with around 550 employees today. Senacor transforms established IT landscapes with the aim of giving customers’ corporate IT the shape required by their business and improving structural performance in the long term. Challenge
In 2014, the Volks- und Raiffeisenbanken, Commerzbank, Deutsche Bank, Postbank and others joined forces to offer a new banking standard for online payments with the founding of paydirekt GmbH. Senacor Technologies AG, today one of the fastest-growing IT service providers in the DACH region, was commissioned to develop the payment service. For Senacor, the question of operation quickly arose with paydirekt. The company was looking for a service provider that could fulfil the special requirements of a banking application.
Solution
The IT service provider got to know the data centre operator noris network through their joint customer TeamBank. The collaboration followed the DevOps principle and became a firmly established way of working for the partners. To this end, four noris network employees work full-time for Senacor in the DevOps team and, in the first few years, even worked directly with the development teams (feature teams) on site in Frankfurt. noris network provided the infrastructure for continuous delivery and continuous deployment for paydirekt development.
Project success
After just 13 months of development, the highly available system went live with multiple redundant development, quality assurance and production environments. The system was characterized by security standards in accordance with German data protection regulations and multi-level fraud prevention. As a general contractor for banking IT projects, the consultants rely on system operation in the data centres of noris network AG for many other projects.
