As a leading technology and solution provider for open banking platforms, ndgit connects banks, insurers, FinTechs and platform companies into digital ecosystems to give end customers access to new financial services. More than 50 banks and companies worldwide already rely on the leading API platform for financial services to digitize traditional systems. The Munich-based company was founded in 2016 and currently employs around 65 people.
Challenge
The EU Payment Service Providers Directive PSD2 forces banks to open up their systems to third parties. Founded in 2016, ndgit GmbH wanted to offer solutions for this. ndgit developed an open banking platform to connect banks, insurers, FinTechs and platform companies into digital ecosystems. The aim is for banks to give their end customers access to new financial services without having to change their core systems. However, data centers that meet the industry’s stringent regulatory requirements are needed for operation.
Solution
Existing references from the financial sector were the reason ndgit opted for data centers from noris network shortly after its foundation. A high-availability operation was set up, mirrored with master-master replication via three high-security data centers, which are connected redundantly and carrier-neutrally via noris network’s own high-performance backbone. noris network takes over the operation of virtualization platforms and storage as well as managed LAN and firewall solutions in addition to housing.
Project success
With ndgit’s complete PSD2 solution, more than 30 of Europe’s leading banks are implementing the regulatory requirements efficiently and securely. noris network is an ‘essential outsourcing partner’ within the meaning of the German Banking Act, which means that ndgit is fully responsible for the continuity and quality of the outsourced service in accordance with BaFin’s Minimum Requirements for Risk Management (MaRisk) and therefore receives comprehensive reporting for monitoring purposes. noris network supports ndgit and its customers during audits.
