Flughafen Nürnberg GmbH has outsourced several server and storage systems to a secondary high-security data center which is operated by noris network at a distance of about five kilometers from the airport. Business-critical server and storage systems are thus spatially separated from the primary data center and housed in a second, thoroughly protected noris network data center. The experts from noris network thus support the uninterrupted operation of the mission-critical airport IT infrastructure. The main reasons for choosing noris network were the high service quality and security levels and a significantly reduced total cost of ownership through outsourcing.

Managed Hosting

By outsourcing some of its server and storage system infrastructure to data centers operated by noris network, the Nuremberg airport uses a range of managed services – from monitoring and updating the systems to a whole series of managed security services such as data storage and backup.

For security reasons, the Nuremberg airport operates its high-availability systems in two spatially separated data centers: its own data center on the airport grounds and a second, redundant data center on the premises of noris network.
