As one of only a few data centers worldwide, construction phase 2 of the data center Nuremberg South was planned and built according to the TSI.STANDARD requirements of TÜViT in Level 4. This TSI.STANDARD quality level stands for very high protection requirements and maximum availability. In addition, we are the first IT provider to offer you a certified energy-efficient Level 4 data center as a colocation service.

Finanz Informatik Technologie Service (FI-TS) Construction and operation of the FI-TS data center

Finanz Informatik Technologie Service (FI-TS) provides IT services for private and public banks, insurance companies, and financial service providers. The company was looking to update its Nuremberg data centers. A new location needed to be found for one of them, a task which proved difficult partly because it had to meet the highest security standards according to Trusted Site Infrastructure Level 4 and EN 50600. Since FI-TS does not want to own any real estate itself for strategic business reasons, it sought a partner.

Nürnberger Versicherung – TSI Level 4 Housing for Nürnberger Versicherung

It was foreseeable that, in the near future, Nürnberger Versicherung’s data centers would no longer meet the state of the art nor comply with the security criteria customary in the industry. Strategic considerations, which included the make-or-buy decision, resulted in the plan to replace both data centers but to only build one new one. The data center for mirroring would be leased. Due to regulatory requirements for IT that apply to the insurance industry, not just any colocation data center would do.
